International singing sensation Charice defended her mother, Raquel Pempengco, from accusations she is meddling too much in her daughter’s personal affairs.
Raquel is reported interfering with Charice’s wardrobe. Some even claimed Raquel would not let her only daughter entertain suitors.
Rumor also said Raquel’s purported strictness has driven Charice to disobey her.
But the 17-year-old “Note to God” singer quickly refuted all allegations. She maintained her mother is not that strict and she always has a say on everything.
In other developments, Comedienne Pokwang is receiving positive feedbacks after doing a hilarious spoof of Marlene Aguilar, controversial mother of road rage suspect Jason Ivler.
Debuted in the “NNNN” portion of the gag show “Banana Split,” it is now a viral hit on Youtube, with viewers applauding the ace comedians’ seeming spot-on mimicry of folk legend Ka Freddie’s sister.
Pokwang admitted it isn’t easy finding a character to spoof nor is it easy to portray them convincingly and in a very amusing manner at that.
