Marriages naturally are a combination of two hearts and of two families; moreover, theirs is more than that. The Nakajima and Gamao wedding is also a combination of two cultures. Just when as the sirens of the patrol convoy blasted off, you know that it was an important wedding.
Japanese Engineer, with his guardians, Primitivo Tabanao and Digna Tabanao, Kihatchiro, finally weds Davaoeña, Chiza Gamao, daughter of Crisologo Gamao and Concepcion Gamao, in a splendid wedding last February 20, 2010, one fine Saturday morning.
The ceremony was held at St. Paul Parish Church in Ecoland. It was attended by family members, relatives and friends and witnessed by Engr. Rodulfo Gutierrez, Lucito Lagdamen, Engr. Paterno Castrodes Jr., Joseph Aclo, Prof. Gilbert Duduaco, Mrs. Concepcion Caingles, Mrs. Lina Reancho, Mrs. Analiza Castrodes, Mrs. Purita Pancho, Mrs. Sarah Cartagena. Secondary sponsors include Bernadette Bula and Joseph Caiña (Candle) Lorelei Estabillo, MD and Harould Caingles (Veil) Milagros Esaga and Dr. Jose Baloria (Cord). Crizaldo Gamao stood as the couple’s bestman, while Cherry Contenido stood as the maid of honor. Raphael Luis Contenido, Karl Dryx Toribio and Lyian Timothy Reancho brought in the rings, coins and Bible respectively. The flower girls include Sofia Wenn Contenido, Therese Angelica Tabanao, Christina Shane Saraza. Adding color and meaning to the entourage were bridesmaids Catherine Albiso, Myrna Pancho, Daisy Tabanao and groomsmen Alf Rae Tan, Wenelito Contenido and Rafael Gutierrez. Liturgical songs were beautifully rendered by the St. Francis of Assissi Choir.
After a series of photo opportunity, all the guests were led to the Agila ballroom of Waterfront Insular hotel were a bountiful reception cum dinner await them. The venue had a heavenly feel with white drapes, waterfalls, imported white fresh cutflowers, lights, vases, urns and crystal chandeliers. No one else made the décor as grand as Golden Touch by Noel Tanza.
Lito Sy Studio captured the moments with their video and photo cameras. Natalies by Booboo Maramba created another masterpiece as evidenced by the couple’s wedding cake. Siblings, the Amazing Asidors entertained the guests with their music as they serenaded the couple and the rest of the guests. Highlights of the program include a tear-jerker message from Chiza’s daughter, Catherine, and a special song Close to You by the Carpenters rendered by her youngest daughter, Hannah. Food, drinks, inspirational messages, video presentations and memories were aplenty throughout the night.
All the program parts were cleverly tied together by Davao’s leading master of ceremonies, Don Gonzales.
Two lives of different back-grounds, two cultures intertwine make up this important wedding. Out of these differences, you know that in the end they have a lot of things to share. |
