Court clears broadcaster
in Burlesk King libel case

Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 17 Presiding Judge Renato Fuentes acquitted a broadcaster in the libel case lodged by House Speaker Prospero Nograles and TV host Jeanette Lomanta over the “Burlesk King” issue which featured a congressman running naked in a posh Manila hotel when caught by the husband of the woman in bed with him in 2001.

Ecoland demolition
pushes through

Ten settlers were arrested for possession of deadly weapons as the demolition of structures in a private property in Ecoland, Davao City finally pushed through yesterday morning.

SP okays P262M SB No. 2

The City Council approved the proposed P262-million Supplemental Budget No. 2 on second reading during a special session yesterday, Councilor Leonardo Avila said.

Nograles to probe
