Canon Marketing Philippines launched its newest products at the Canon ImageNation Celebrations held at the Grand Men Seng Hotel last Tuesday.

Dealers, resellers, business partners, and other guests present looked closely on Canon’s new creations, which are now available in its depot in Lanang, Davao City.

These new creations include OS digital SLR cameras featuring Canon’s DSLR family like the 10.1 megapixel EOS 1000D, the HD ready mid-range 50D, and the most awaited 5D Mark II.

Canon also introduced seven new Power-shot digital cameras: PowerShot A1000 IS and PowerShot A2000IS (6x optical zoom and auto Hi-ISO mode), PowerShot SX10IS and PowerShot SX1 IS (armed with Digic IV processor, full HD movie recording, the 14.7 MP PowerShot G10, completing the set is the PowerShot SX110 IS with 9MP for image resolution with 10x optical zoom.

Canon also introduced the newest wide angle IXUS 870 IS and the 14.7 MP model the IXUS 980 IS. Must haves are the two new Selphy compact photo printers. The Digital Selphy ES3, a light 2090g processor with 1 gigabyte internal memory, and the Selphy ES30 featuring metallic gold/silver printing.

Capture life’s moments with new Vixia digital camcorder: the mini DV camcorder, Vixia DVD, dual flash camcorder, and the Vixia HF11 flash camcorder. Duplicate memories with the new very light CanoScan 5600F and CanoScan Lide 200.

Print more with the new Pixma printer models: the Pixma iP1980, Pixma MP198, and the new Wi-Fi multifunction printers, PixmaMP628 and Pixma MP988; the pictbridge-compliant Pixma iP3680, Pixma iP4680, and the multi-function Pixma MP545.

New array of Canon’s Laser Shot Printers include the LBP5050/LBP5050N that print as fast as 8ppm for color A4-sized printouts and 12ppm for mono-chrome versions; the Laser Shot LBP3050 has a built-in 2MB RAM memory and all-in-one toner cartridge; and the Laser Shot 3250 comes with a built-in 8MB SDRAM memory.

Other newest innovations are the two new XEED projectors. The XEED WUX10 that can reproduce bright, high contrast computer images and full 1080p High Definition (HD); and the XEED SX80 with HDMI interface and USB connectivity.

Canon also distributed five Pixma printers to the representatives of Calinan National High School, Tamugan National High School, Cabantian National High School, Nieves Villarica National High School, and Gawad Kalinga in line with its commitment on corporate social responsibility.

“This is our way of saying thank you to all our supporters,” Nelson Perez, regional sales manager said.
